 POSITION: Account Executive (South Africa, West Africa, East Africa)

 NATURE OF BUSINESS: Management Consulting Firm

 JOB LOCATION: Johannesburg

 REPORTS TO: Africa Regional Head

 SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:

  • Selling consulting services

  • Focusing on clients in South Africa and elsewhere in Sub-Saharan Africa (primarily East Africa and West Africa)

  • Assume responsibility for the identification and subsequent development of potential opportunities that lead to the successful acquisition of profitable consulting projects, with particular emphasis on: undertaking the necessary desk research to identify private sector potential and government /parastatal enterprises that may have the need for the firm's consulting expertise; establishing close personal relationships with key decision-makers within the target organisations; presenting the firm's credentials and assisting in the process of identifying profitable improvement opportunities to potential clients; undertaking the negotiations to secure the project and then handing it over to the implementation team.

 

SPECIFIC QUALITIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Proven track record of business development and building relationships at a CEO and C-suite level

  • Understanding of businesses end to end and their financial structures including P&L and Balance Sheets

  • Ideally, a combination of consulting and industry experience with prior general management experience (including P&L responsibility)

  • Selling complex, large ticket b-b offerings, preferably non-tangible

  • Graduate, preferably with a further qualification
